Big Taste in a Tiny Space: Our Pit Stop at IHS Pizza in Canton, PA

Don't let the narrow storefront fool you—IHS Pizza is bursting at the seams with flavor.

Before heading off for our picnic adventure at our secret historic spot (check back tomorrow!), Asher and I made a quick and delicious stop that we just had to share. We found ourselves in Canton, Pennsylvania, staring at what has to be the skinniest building in town—home to IHS Pizza and sandwich shop.

Let us tell you, this place might be narrow, but it’s absolutely bursting at the seams with flavor and heart.

The Charm Factor

As soon as we walked in, we were struck by the incredibly inviting atmosphere. The space feels historic, with warm, exposed brick walls lined with old photos. It has that authentic, local spot vibe where you immediately feel welcome.

But the real highlight for us was the seating. Forget standard booths—we grabbed a spot at a neat checkers table! While we waited for our food to arrive, we squeezed in a quick game (I won't say who won, but it was a great pre-game appetizer of fun). It’s such a simple, nostalgic touch that adds so much character.

A Stromboli for the Ages

We ordered their cheese steak stromboli and a side of fries to share, and let's just say, they didn't skimp.

The fries were perfectly golden and crispy, but the stromboli? Pure cheesy steak heaven. The dough was warm and satisfyingly chewy, baked until golden and then sliced to reveal a generous stuffing of melted cheese and shaved steak, complete with mushrooms, onions and peppers! It was hearty, comforting, and incredibly tasty.

If you ever find yourself passing through Canton, make sure you don't miss IHS Pizza. It's a small place making a big impact with great food and a wonderfully cozy vibe.

Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for details on our perfect picnic lunch at our secret location!
